Saved from the Clutches of despair.

I have nothing but praise for Steve at A1 Clutches in Birmingham. I have a Kia Sportage 4WD which I need for work as I have to access sites that are often off road. My clutch failed on Wednesday evening. I had a couple of days off but never thought that I could get my vehicle repaired in such a short time. I was thinking I would have to hire a car for the following week and that the cost of repair would be through the roof.
I phoned A1 Clutches on Thursday morning and spoke to Steve, the Manager, who said they could collect the car within the hour and it should be repaired and ready the following day. I was staggered and very relieved. I know the cost would have been substatially more if I had taken it to a main dealer and there is no way it would have been done in such a short time. I can not praise A1 Clutches highly enough. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Brilliant service from these guys Rik the manager was fantastic helped me sort our problems out and did a report for the work too. Would definitely recommend these guys!

Fantastic all-round! I contacted A1 Clutches, Digbeth, on a Sunday, leaving a message for a quote for my BMW 320D Touring. Steve returned my call first thing on Monday morning, giving me an exact quote, where they were located, how long it was likely to take, in addition to possible options while I was waiting for the job to be done.
I decided after a little shopping around, that I would take it to A1 Digbeth as Steve had been so efficient and other reviews were excellent.

I made exactly the correct choice! I arrived at 08:30 and Steve made sure I was next in line for the job as booked. I asked where I might find a place nearby to get a drink and do some work on my laptop while waiting. He replied with a couple of ideas, including staying in the A1 Clutched reception area… Hmmm… Well well when I saw the red leather sofas, numerous power sockets, the fact that I could access internet… and they organised a cup of coffee for me immediately!

The area was clean, smart and the whole team that I met friendly and helpful. I noted that Steve went out of his way to ensure that customers were never left with problems to either park, or collect their cars; they were kept informed of progress and all in a polite manner.

My car was completed before estimated time, all receipts and guarantees prepared promptly, free interval checks recommended and ready for me to drive away in clean condition.

I’m not easily impressed by many services this days, but this was OUTSTANDING! Most importantly, my car drives perfectly again!

Thanks Guys, Fixed the gearbox on my 15 year old Felicia. Parts are hard to obtain, but A1 Clutches found them and did a great job repairing the gearbox. Got a 12 month guarantee
as well. What more can you ask.

Big thank you to Steve who within a day of contacting him arranged for my car to be recovered as the clutch had gone, he managed to fit it in that day and ready for me to be picked up in the evening. They highlighted a couple of minor issues with no pressure to get them sorted, he made you feel confident the work they had just done was genuine and I can only say the clutch feels great with no impression its likely to fail again, as I have had in the past with other repairers.

It was the most competitive quote I found, Steve came across as a really helpful genuine person. I had been a mechanic myself for a lot of years but age as caught me up, but I can honestly say this is the first repair shop I have been to that I feel the work carried out was genuine and of a very high standard.

I still get many people who ask me to recommend somewhere they can get the car repaired and have always been hesitant due to my own experience but not anymore A1 will be first choice.
Pity there were not more genuine repair shops like this around even the reception area is top notch giving a great first impression.
