Established in 1990 A1 Clutches are the leading Clutch and dual mass flywheel specialists in the Midlands, we operate from multiple state of the art sites, and we specialise in all makes and models of cars, high-performance cars, 4 – 4s, light commercial vehicles, motor homes and even horse boxes. We consistently strive to offer our customers an unbeatable service and provide a 2 year / 18,000 miles warranty on all clutches supplied and fitted by A1 Clutches, leading the way in our industry. A1 Clutches are a specialist IMI Approved Repairer of 7 speed DSG VW gearboxes.

 

All of our technicians are highly skilled in their field and are continually trained in the latest procedures and practices. We operate a reliable collection and delivery service and can supply you with a free courtesy car whilst your vehicle is being repaired subject to availability.

Excellent service

Excellent service from start to finish from Giri at A1 clutches Tipton. I was kept informed through all stages of the work my car needed. Giri is polite, professional and explained all work that was needed and gave me a quote before the work was carried out. Definitely recommend this team.

A1 really is A1

Clutch packed up the Thursday a week before Christmas. Phoned A1 on Friday. Tony said bring it in Monday (3 days til Christmas). Fixed it same day (had to replace clutch and slave cylinder). Incredible service and speed. Tony at A1 is friendly, the staff are competent and efficient. Cost was very reasonable. What a fantastic experience.

Used A1 clutch in Derby December 2025

Used A1 clutch in Derby December 2025. First class service. Updated by phone that car wouldn't be ready until following Day therefore saving me a wasted journey. I was advised of a problem with my propshaft and advised to get it repaired as soon as possible.
