I’ve always used A1.
Not so much recently as I’ve been lucky enough not to need their services. However, today I went to see the man himself and, as usual, received straight talking advice.
My suspicions re the clutch were wrong. Worn, but still some life in it.
I was advised after a thorough test drive to check the pulley bearings first, as they’re the source of the whine I thought was the clutch bearings.
Have I spent any money with them today?
No, and he’s probably saved me a tonne of money by warning me to get the pulleys sorted straight away, but when the clutch does need doing (10 years old and 170k miles) they’ll be doing it for me.
Top people, good prices too.
