Owning a rare car I knew prices were not going to be cheap but I was really surprised at my quote from A1 Clutches in Cannock, £495 I was quoted and guess what??? £495 is what I paid…. I noticed a few little issues with it, the mechanic that carried out the work must of had it will do attitude (who i am told is no longer working for them)… the transmission and transfer case cross member on my 4×4 had 1 bolt totally missing and another bolt totally under sized to hold the sheer weight… I also noticed a rattle had occured as well…

I spoke to A1 Clutches who got me booked back in ASAP and took care of all my issues for me… changed the bolt to a MUCH more suitable one and the rattle has 99% disappeared… definatly put the smile back on my face… the bloke on the phones was EXTREMELY friendly and helpful….

I have been totally honest with this review warts and all.

My clutch went on my mini and had no breakdown cover. Managed to get home but had to leave the car.
Found A1 Clutches on Google and asked for a quote for the clutch repair. Asked for a call as requested. In the morning I got s call from a very helpful gentlemen who gave me the quote for the clutch and the recovery of the car.
The quote was very reasonable and I was very pleased with the service received.

Used these guys after my garage quoted me nearly £900 to recondition my gearbox . Called them up and had it booked in the same day and given a courtesy car , had extra work carried out and a new clutch along side the reconditioned box and was still nearly £200 cheaper.

I went to A1 Clutches in Derby after having an emergency late on a Friday afternoon. They were really helpful and looked at the car straight away. They supplied and fitted a clutch kit and CSC. It was done by Monday mid-morning with no fuss and they communicated with me along the way. They apologised for not getting it done Saturday but I thought they were super quick getting it done by Monday. I would highly recommend A1.

Very helpful and friendly. I have a 15 year old Picanto - it was getting tough to change gears at times - I thought it was the gearbox - took it in the A1 Clutches - they said probably needs a new clutch, gearbox has life in it still. With new clutch installed the car drives so much better. One very happy driver :)

The clutch was slipping on my Yaris so I decided it was best to get it fixed before I got stranded . I was recommended this company by JB Transport (Jacksdale) so booked it in and got a slot for 2 days later. The service was excellent and Tony the manager communicated very well.I arrived at 8 am and got a call at 1 pm from Tony saying the car was ready. The car drives like new and my worries are gone.What more can I say ? !!
