I own a Honda Jazz which, has a known problem with bearings, in the gearbox, failing (a problem I finally identified 6 months ago). My bearing finally failed big time causing a nasty grinding noise whenever the clutch was nott engaged. Did the usual searches for mechanics and happened upon A1 Clutches. I did an online enquiry and received a call from Tony (the manager) within 5 minutes! The quote was less than I expected (for having to get to, and then remove the gearbox). I made an appointment for the next morning, dropped off the car and was kindly dropped off, close to my place of work, by one of the mechanics. Whilst the gearbox was out I decided to have the clutch replaced (cost of which was LESS then I could source it myself!!). Like driving a brand new car now.
Absolutely cannot fault the entire process of having my car fixed and will definitely recommebnd to all who will listen (and some who will not too!).

I went to A1 Clutches in Derby after having an emergency late on a Friday afternoon. They were really helpful and looked at the car straight away. They supplied and fitted a clutch kit and CSC. It was done by Monday mid-morning with no fuss and they communicated with me along the way. They apologised for not getting it done Saturday but I thought they were super quick getting it done by Monday. I would highly recommend A1.

Very helpful and friendly. I have a 15 year old Picanto - it was getting tough to change gears at times - I thought it was the gearbox - took it in the A1 Clutches - they said probably needs a new clutch, gearbox has life in it still. With new clutch installed the car drives so much better. One very happy driver :)

The clutch was slipping on my Yaris so I decided it was best to get it fixed before I got stranded . I was recommended this company by JB Transport (Jacksdale) so booked it in and got a slot for 2 days later. The service was excellent and Tony the manager communicated very well.I arrived at 8 am and got a call at 1 pm from Tony saying the car was ready. The car drives like new and my worries are gone.What more can I say ? !!
