Dreams certainly came true for everyone involved and those who supported the Lionesses on their journey to success. Dreams are also coming true for many competitors competing at the Commonwealth Games this month. The Games are being held in the beautiful city of Birmingham, which is close to our hearts and home to A1 Clutches.
Thirty-two years ago, our CEO, Amrik Singh, dreamt of having a successful business. With hard work and determination, his dream came true too. Passionate about cars and having trained as a clutch fitter, Amrik was still a teenager when he opened his first workshop in 1990, specialising in all makes and models of vehicles.
A1 Clutches soon outgrew the small premises as the business steadily grew. Fast forward, and today, A1 Clutches have a multi-million-pound turnover and operate from four state-of-the-art sites at Tipton, Cannock, Derby and Birmingham. Amrik is hands-on in the day-to-day operation, ensuring that the first-class quality of work never waivers throughout all the branches.
A1 Clutches has survived many national economic lows over the years, yet Amrik’s dream continues to succeed, expand and grow. Each branch has its own manager and many support staff have been with the company for several years. The family business enables the managers to each run an individual branch as their own by following a proven system, which is regularly reviewed and assessed. Staff are motivated by incentives, a professional ethos, and a sense of belonging to a company that respects the needs and expectations of its employees. A1 Clutches are incredibly proud of its highly skilled technicians, who are continually trained in the latest procedures and practices. Services include a free, no-obligation clutch check and a reliable collection and delivery service. A free courtesy car is provided when a vehicle is being repaired, subject to availability.
