Absolutely great service from the first phone call, assistant very helpful and diagnosed my fault that 3 other garages could not, gear box changed in the time that Steve at A1 Clutches gave me I drove my car home and it felt smooth and gearbox selected like a dream all I can say is this is my new garage for any clutch/gearbox work, but they do so much more so 5 stars for an all round job an prices are very good that’s a fact

I had a Honda Jazz with a dying gearbox. A1 quote was 1/3 less than the nearest competitor. Fast efficient and friendly service. Contacted me to let me know the box was off and exposed clutch showing about 50% wear. They told me the cost of renewing the clutch, to which I agreed. Two year/18,000 mile warranty on gearbox with four intermediate services included. Really can’t praise service enough and wouldn’t hesitate to use them again.

Over the last week I had begun to intermittently hear strange noises from the car, seemed to be when the clutch was used. Took to a garage who said thay could find no problem. Was I going mad? Well a few days on and I now have a medley of noises as I drive along and lets say I feel as though the car is going to break down at any minute. The dealership couldn’t get me in for a couple of weeks!

Enter A1 Clutches who have saved the day. Took the car into the Tipton branch, within 15 minutes the mechanic had test driven the car and given a diagnosis, a thrust bearing had gone. They could have the car in instantly and would be done the same day: in fact I got a call just over four hours later to say the car was ready for collection. Amazing.I was offered a free courtesy car which really helped me out but best of all was the price £225 for a three piece repair kit and labour. Everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional and I will certainly recomend A1 Clutches and will use again.
