A1 clutches to the rescue

A1 Clutches to the rescue again, had the dreaded brake sensor fault code pop up today. Nobody wanted to know on the ring around looking for someone to do the work on the same day. I did no’t realise these guys do brakes as well. I did the online quote request. Got an instant call back, told to pop it down now and it was diagnosed and repaired within an hour and a half. Fault codes removed on the diagnostic tool and back home without the main dealer prices or the grief of having to wait until the end of October to get it seen anywhere else. Can not recommend this garage enough, did my Dual mass flywheel and clutch the other day as well, my old 1 series drives like a dream thanks Charlie cook at A1 Clutches

I am writing to say a big thank you for helping me out over the phone for free. I rang in August whilst holidaying in Croatia in my motorhome, quite desperate for some good old British advice. I had a problem with my clutch, and there was a serious language barrier not to mention some competency issues with my initial mechanic here.

Turns out the issue was a faulty slave cylinder, I eventually found a decent workshop who gave the same advice as you to replace it as well as the friction plates. You also gave me a quote which I can confirm is very competitive – even in a cheaper country like Croatia they couldn’t match your prices. It cost about 1000€ for replacement of slave cylinder, clutch plates and associated parts, and replacement of gearbox oil (3 hours labour). Next time we have any issues with the clutch we will definitely book in with your workshop.

Literally called on Tuesday for a new clutch and never been here before….they said bring it now and we will fix it straight away. So I took my Chevrolet about 9:30 and before I left the street someone was driving past me to test it! By 11:30 it was stripped and I was told the price. BY 3:30 I had a call saying I could collect. Had a new clutch and dual mass fly wheel. 20% cheaper than any other price I was given and nobody I spoke to could get anywhere near them on turnaround time. Since then it feels ten times better to drive and I literally cannot fault anything. Great staff also who were friendly and informative throughout. Would not hesitate in the slightest to go back! Thanks guys for everything. Really appreciate it

I went to A1 Clutches in Derby after having an emergency late on a Friday afternoon. They were really helpful and looked at the car straight away. They supplied and fitted a clutch kit and CSC. It was done by Monday mid-morning with no fuss and they communicated with me along the way. They apologised for not getting it done Saturday but I thought they were super quick getting it done by Monday. I would highly recommend A1.

Very helpful and friendly. I have a 15 year old Picanto - it was getting tough to change gears at times - I thought it was the gearbox - took it in the A1 Clutches - they said probably needs a new clutch, gearbox has life in it still. With new clutch installed the car drives so much better. One very happy driver :)

The clutch was slipping on my Yaris so I decided it was best to get it fixed before I got stranded . I was recommended this company by JB Transport (Jacksdale) so booked it in and got a slot for 2 days later. The service was excellent and Tony the manager communicated very well.I arrived at 8 am and got a call at 1 pm from Tony saying the car was ready.
