Rang my local Derby branch for a recon gearbox and an extremely friendly chap answered the phone and quoted me £825+VAT, (Main dealer quoted just under £4k)
Dropped the car off the next day and again was met with a nice friendly informative service. Work was completed within the timescale I was given.

Clutch on my honda civic type r was whining and moaning for a couple of days, (I needed a replacement) called the dealer who wanted 4 days and over £900 to do the job with no courtesy car! took it down to A1, they drove it to diagnose the problem as bearings but would definitely benefit from a complete replacement, quoted under £400 for the job and did it in around 4 hours. New clutch feels great and drives like a dream. Service was second to none, great job, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, don’t try anywhere else. All work also has a 2 year warranty, you just won’t beat these guys on service or price. Thanks again guys.
